Toys for Tots
During the holiday season, the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program will collect and distribute toys to less fortunate children in the community. The mission of the program is to deliver a message of hope to children in economically challenged areas. In order to carry out this mission, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has been working with local coordinators to help them collect and distribute toys.
The Toys for Tots program has been delivering this message of hope to children since 1947. It is the oldest and most successful Toys for Tots campaign in the United States. It has delivered over 62 million Christmas gifts to less fortunate children since the program began. It is the only program in the United States that provides toys to all children, regardless of their race, color or creed.
The Toys for Tots Foundation has been conducting a public education campaign to increase awareness of the Toys for Tots program. This campaign is designed to encourage the public to donate toys and also help increase name recognition. The campaign includes media events, news releases and a website.
The Toys for Tots website also features a news and research section, a blog and a video library. The website also offers a Toys for Tots Fundraising page where you can create a fundraiser to collect toys and other donations for less fortunate children in your community.
Toy Drive
Whether you’re a parent, a business, or just a good Samaritan, you can help make the holiday season a little brighter for a child in need by participating in a toy drive. The WISH-TV toy drive supports several programs, including Breakfast with Santa, Shop with a Cop, Clothe-a-Child, and the WISH Tree. You can also donate financial donations through December 31, 2022.
If you’re not up for the trip to the WISH-TV studios, you can also drop off toys at your local Jewel-Osco, which will benefit two organizations, Off the Street Club and Christmas in the Wards. You can drop off toys at Jewel-Osco’s location at 2501 West Bradley Place in Chicago from November 23rd to December 20th. Those wishing to donate money can donate to the McCormick Foundation Fund, which will match 50 cents on the dollar. You can also donate online.
The WISH Tree toy drive benefits children in need throughout the year. Toys will be distributed to all six Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department districts. They will also be available to public safety personnel throughout the year. The Public Safety Foundation will be a nonprofit partner recipient for the 2018 WISH Tree toy drive.
