    Training course: Where do corporate e-learning companies go wrong?

    Too much training in less time: Knowledge in the form of up-gradation of the existing knowledge. The knowledge upgrade occurs through the training process. However, updating the knowledge through the training process is not as easy as it sounds. Handing over a couple of e-learning manuals or giving training to the workforce in less than two hours may not always work. Corporate e-learning solution is exactly the opposite of this.

    Squeezing too much information in less time: Physical classroom sessions with e-learning text content will help you improve the learner’s skills and efficiency. The only issue with the physical classroom session is that some people need time to understand new concepts. As a result, squeezing many details into their heads in a few hours might not work. These people will need more time to practice dealing with ideas and putting them into practice in the real world.

    Disconnection with the training content: It is not easy to create awesome content. Many corporate e-learning companies feel that they have created engaging content. But, it reflects when the training session is conducted. To elaborate, the organizations feel that they have infused all the essential elements to make the content interesting and understandable. However, during the training session, the majority of the trainees look baffled and unconnected to the teaching session.

    The most unfortunate aspect is that companies invest a lot of their time, effort, and money into corporate training. Then what is the way out to ensure that the majority of the professionals who attend the training session find it interesting. There are no such rules to ensure that a training session is 100% effective. However, it can be ensured that the majority of the concepts are absorbed by the trainees. This can be achieved by making the training session enjoyable.

    The outcome of non-engaging content

    The learner may engage in learning but it won’t be fully active learning.  The behavioral engagement might still be rather passive. Learners may finish an entire course without improving their skills or knowledge due to a lack of cognitive and emotional engagement. This is particularly true for adult learners, who often see a course as an additional obligation or another box to check, and continue to finish it with little involvement.

    Changes in corporate e-learning solution and their advantages

    Incorporation of animation and simulation: The e-learning solutions with animation and simulation are incorporated in the e-learning solutions. This allows the professionals to know the real-life workplace difficulties. Further case studies and a set of circumstances-based exercises on real-life situations can be included. This will pique the attention of corporate learners.

    Rewarding learners: Part of the course should be designed in a more practical approach. On completion of the training session, the learners should be rewarded. This way their engagement will increase. Also, this would allow the students to put their new abilities to the test and cope with difficult circumstances firsthand.

    Employee engagement

    The workforce would be more productive if they’re well taught and have the information they need to keep in mind about your services or goods. Research work indicates that e-learning technology boosts work engagement by 18 percent among the workforce.
