The unity of the country needs to be restored, language rights need to be guaranteed, and the independentism of Catalonia must be confronted. We have 2 months left in this congress and we can do better than last time. Let’s pass an act of confidence until 20 jan 2019.
What does the new congress of the Catalan people look like?
An increasing number of people are becoming aware of the fact that the Catalan parliament is the unicameral legislature in a modern country. This is likely to spark a fresh round of independence movements within the autonomous community. On the surface this seems like a good thing. It would protect the unity of the country and give it stability. It would also give the people of Catalonia a voice they have rarely had before. The government is made up of the presidents of the smaller Spanish regions. The government has never been able to overcome the Congress of the Federation of Regions, a group of autonomous communities located mainly in eastern Europe. The new parliament will function as the parliament of the autonomous community. The president of the Chamber of Deputies will lead the delegation of the country to theomes of the leading cities. The delegation will include the government, the presidency of the republics, and the regions.
