Did you know that 90% of the information transmitted to our brains is visual? In addition, our brain can process images 60,000 faster than text, so it’s true that a picture’s worth a thousand words!

This means that if you’re putting together presentations, you’ll want to add in some images to break up your text. Even better are GIFs, which are short videos that are definitely attention grabbers!

Are you interested in using GIFs in PowerPoint to keep your audience engaged? Then read on for 4 tips on how to use GIFs in PowerPoint.

Here you can go to learn more about the tutflix

    1. Convert a Powerful Video

First, you need to source good GIFs for your presentation. While there are many stock GIFs you can use, not all of them will be suitable. Because of that, you need to know how to convert videos into GIFs.

Perhaps you have a nice video you’d like to include in your presentation, but it’s a bit long. You’ll have to first whittle it down to a few key seconds, as GIFs are 20 seconds max, with most being around 5 seconds.

Once you’ve done that, you can then convert the video to GIF through a platform like Adobe, which is free!

    2. How to Put a GIF in PowerPoint

If you’re not too tech-savvy, then you might be wondering how you get your beautiful clip into your presentation. The good news is, it’s easy!

Go to the slide you want and then click on Insert. Now click on Pictures and find your GIF, and click on Insert or Open.

Lastly, click on Slide Show and then From Current Slide. This will ensure your GIF will be animated when you present. In fact, it’ll keep playing in a loop.

    3. Create GIFs Directly in PowerPoint

If you’d prefer to create GIFs yourself and you want to do so directly in PowerPoint, you can! You can do this through either a transition or the slide transition Morph.

Click on Customize > Design > Slide Size > Custom Slide Size. You can then put in the images you want and duplicate the slide.

In the duplicate slide, make changes to the picture so it’s what you want as the final image. Choose your transition, then click File > Export > Create Animated GIF. Voila, you’ve just made your own GIF in PowerPoint!

    4. Don’t Overuse GIFs

It can be fun to open a slide and see something moving and visually stimulating. However, there’s such thing as going overboard when using GIFs. If you put too many of them in your presentation, not only will they lose their impact, but it can make your slides look messy and unorganized.

Know How to Use GIFs in PowerPoint Effectively

Now that you know how to use GIFs (and create them!), you can put them in your PowerPoint presentations as needed. They’re a great tool for grabbing people’s attention, but be careful not to go overboard. A few well-placed GIFs are a lot better than stuffing your presentation full of them!isaimini
