The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has given the responsibility to the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct the ICAR AIEEA for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The ICAR AIEEA exam helps candidates get admission to different agricultural universities across India.

- The duration of the ICAR AIEEA -UG exam is 150 minutes (2½ hours). Each test consists of 150 questions, 50 from each subject.
- The ICAR AIEEA -UG exam is conducted for 5 subjects, i.e.,
- Physics (P)
- Chemistry (C)
- Biology (B)
- Mathematics (M)
- Agriculture (A)
- Aspirants have to select 1 subject group out of four available groups made out of these subjects, i.e.,
- PCM
- PCB
- APC
- ABC
- Candidates can choose the subject group based on the eligibility criteria for the undergraduate programmes to which they wish to apply. Aspirants should go through the ICAR AIEEA – UG Information Bulletin to know more about the eligibility criteria for undergraduate programmes.
- Applicants should ensure that they take the exam for the subject group (PCB/PCM/PCA/ABC) mentioned in their admit cards. Attempting the exam for a different subject group will lead to disqualification.
- If there is a discrepancy between the English and Hindi versions of a question, the English version will be taken into account.

- The duration of the ICAR AIEEA – PG exam is 120 minutes (2 hours).
- The test will be conducted in 20 major subject groups. All the information about the 20 major subject groups is given in the ICAR AIEEA – PG Information Bulletin.
- Aspirants should choose one major subject group from the subjects given in the Information Bulletin based on what they had studied at graduation (UG) level.
- Candidates should go through the eligibility requirements of the postgraduate programme to which they intend to apply.
- Candidates should take the test for the same subject groups that are given in their admit cards. Applicants will not be considered if they do not appear in the subject groups they selected in their application forms.
- The questions in the ICAR AIEEA – PG exam will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the ICAR. Candidates can visit the official website of the ICAR to download the syllabus for the ICAR AIEEA – PG examination.
