    What are the most common illnesses that happen to children?

    Children can also develop many minor and complex health troubles as they grow old. If you are a mother, a father, or a caretaker, you need to stay updated on some common childhood diseases, their reasons for occurrences, prevention tips, etc., so that you are capable of keeping your baby as safe as possible in the time of need. Most of these health issues are not a massive deal and may be managed without always going to a health practitioner. 

    According to San Pedro pediatrics, some common childhood diseases are: 

    • Cold and cough: It is a completely common ailment seen in kids, and it comes from viruses of the nearby surroundings. It attacks the immune system of the child. As such, there is no cure for it, but its symptoms may be managed if you comply with the simple advice of the medical doctor.
    • Infection in the ear: This is also very commonly seen in kids, and it can result from a virus or bacteria. If your baby has a fever, irritation, or difficulty sleeping, he may have an ear infection.
    • Bronchitis: It is a circumstance where the air passage of your baby’s lungs swells up and produces mucus. Your toddler might also show you signs and symptoms like cough, cold, body ache, sore throat, etc. It may be due to the presence of a virus that can cause contamination inside the respiratory tract.
    • Stomach flu: Your toddler may show signs of nausea along with vomiting that might get triggered by stomach flu. If that is the case, he may also become a victim of other symptoms like muscle aches, fever, and other symptoms. 
    • Hand, foot, and mouth disease: If your infant has gotten red rashes on his hands, feet, or other body parts, foot, and mouth disease can be blamed in that situation.
    • Chickenpox: Symptoms such as fever, itchiness, red spots, etc., can be prompted due to chickenpox. These rashes can turn to become blisters and leave scars on the child’s body. This health issue spreads a lot. You should try to keep yourself safe while giving proper care to your toddler.

    There are many other known and unknown childhood health issues. As a mother or father, your responsibility is to keep yourself well aware of the symptoms of these illnesses. You can not only be a good and informed parent but at the same time also provide good care to the child.
